Who this guide is for
This guide is for Algerians living in France, elsewhere in Europe, in Canada or in another country who want to set up an SARL, an EURL or a business in Algeria without moving there, or while coming only occasionally. It explains what you can do from home, what needs a signature, and how to get a registered office in Algeria.
What can be done remotely, what needs a signature

If you are aiming for ANADE support to start your business, the order of 1 April 2026 (Official Journal No. 42 of 10 June 2026) has you take the preliminary training remotely on a digital platform, and the certificate ANADE issues at the end is a condition for the scheme's benefits.
Power of attorney: what saves you the trip
A power of attorney (procuration) authorises someone you trust in Algeria (a relative, a partner) to sign in your name the deeds it lists. There are two usual routes: have it drawn up at the Algerian consulate you depend on, or sign it before a notary in your country of residence and then have it apostilled there (since 9 July 2026, if that country applies the Hague Convention with Algeria) or, failing that, legalised by the consulate. Appointments, documents, fees and timing vary between consulates and countries: check the conditions with your consulate before you go.
- List the powers precisely: signing the articles, signing the domiciliation contract, filing and collecting documents at the CNRC, the tax office, the ONS and CASNOS.
- Give the representative's full identity exactly as it appears on their ID.
- Name the company being set up and its form (for example, an SARL whose name is still to be registered).
- Decide whether the power of attorney should also cover the bank: each bank sets its own requirements.
Your registered office in Algeria: domiciliation in Dely Brahim
Every company needs a registered office in Algeria, entered in the trade register. If you have no premises, domiciliation provides that address. At Neuron, the office is at Lot 191 Bis 3, Bois des Cars 02, Dely Brahim, Algiers, 3rd floor. Domiciliation costs 6,000 DA a month, with a notarised contract of 1 year or 2 years, or 72,000 DA for one year. We need your ID and your birth certificate extract, and the contract is ready within 3 days at most.

The process, step by step
- 1
Your first WhatsApp message
Describe your project: activity, partners, country of residence, timing, planned stays in Algeria. We tell you what can be done remotely in your case.
- 2
Choose the legal form
On your own, an EURL (single-member limited company); with others, an SARL (limited liability company). The diagnostic tool below points you in the right direction in a few questions.
- 3
Send your scanned documents
ID and birth certificate extract for each partner, details of the capital and the manager. Sharp colour scans, front and back.
- 4
Get the company name
You suggest several names in order of preference. The form is prepared, then filed at the CNRC by you or your representative.
- 5
Make the power of attorney if you are not coming
At the Algerian consulate or before a notary in your country of residence, with wording approved in advance by the notary in Algeria.
- 6
Sign at the notary
Articles of association and domiciliation contract, signed by you during a stay or by your representative.
- 7
Trade register, tax office, NIS, CASNOS
The forms are filled in for you; filings are made by you or your representative. You follow each step on WhatsApp.
- 8
Bank and company stamp
The company bank account depends on the bank's requirements. The stamp is ordered as soon as the trade register extract arrives.
Which legal form fits your project?
Three questions. You get a recommendation and your starting budget.
Question 1 of 3
Are you starting alone or with others?
Documents to prepare
The manager: living in Algeria or not?
The manager signs many documents: bank, tax office, social security, contracts. If they live abroad, every signature means a power of attorney or a trip. Some founders therefore appoint a manager who lives in Algeria, whether a partner or not, while remaining partners themselves. Weigh this choice carefully: the manager commits the company, and their status (majority partner or not) decides which social security fund they belong to.
Bank accounts
The company account is opened with a bank in Algeria, after the trade register, the NIF and the NIS. Each bank sets its own conditions: many ask for the manager to be present to sign and give a specimen signature. Ask the bank before your stay, and ask whether it accepts a representative. For money transfers between abroad and Algeria, check with your bank: they depend on its procedures and on foreign exchange regulations.
